Vintage Walnut Veneered Tallboy / Gentleman’s Wardrobe
A well proportioned vintage walnut veneered gentleman’s wardrobe or tallboy, raised on shaped legs and offering excellent storage throughout. The piece features a rich figured walnut veneer to the front with attractive grain and warm colouring.
The upper section comprises a double door cupboard enclosing two internal shelves, both fixed in position but removable if desired. Beneath are two smoothly running full width drawers fitted with matching original handles.
A practical and versatile storage piece, ideal for use in a bedroom, dressing room or hallway.
Condition:
Good vintage condition overall. The top shows only minimal wear. Some light discolouration and fading can be seen to the sides near the edges, though nothing overly noticeable. Small age related marks and wear to the legs consistent with years of use and movement. The front veneers are generally very good with only a couple of tiny losses around drawer edges. Drawers run smoothly and all handles match.
