Vintage Walnut Veneered Bureau with Ball & Claw Feet



A handsome vintage walnut veneered writing bureau, featuring beautifully figured wood grain, decorative metal drop handles and elegant cabriole legs terminating in traditional ball and claw feet.

The fall-front opens smoothly to reveal a brown leather writing surface, a small internal drawer and several open compartments for stationery, letters and paperwork. Below are three spacious drawers, all running well and retaining their matching decorative handles.


The key is present and operates both the fall-front and drawers. The bureau is solid and in good vintage condition overall, with the top and sides generally well preserved. There are areas of discolouration to the framework between the drawers, giving the piece a distinctive variation in tone.


There are also some signs of historic woodworm, which have previously been filled, along with general age-related marks and wear. A characterful and practical piece, ideal for a study, living room, hallway or bedroom.


Condition: Good vintage condition with age-related wear, some discolouration and previously filled historic woodworm holes, as photographed.

    Delivery Information

    We offer FREE delivery to England, Wales and most parts of Scotland (excluding The Highlands), If delivery is required to Northern Scotland, please contact us prior to purchase.

    We do not currently offer delivery outside of mainland UK, or to the Scottish Highlands.

    We do not currently offer international shipping, but will work with existing freight distributors.

    Collection is available from our warehouse - LL14 1TG. Please select collection at checkout.

    Delivery Information

    You will receive advance notice of a day and time for delivery within approximately 10 working days, and delivery can take up to 15 working days from order date.
