Vintage Walnut Double Wardrobe – 1957


A lovely vintage double wardrobe with beautifully figured walnut veneer, elegant curved doors and a decorative carved detail at the centre of the top. The warm walnut tones and ornate metal drop handles give this piece plenty of traditional character.

The wardrobe offers practical storage, with a full-length hanging section to the left and a separate compartment to the right featuring a shelf and shorter hanging rail.

Both doors open and close correctly, with a securing latch at the bottom of the left door. No key is present.

The wardrobe is in good, usable vintage condition, with some fading and discolouration across the front and sides, consistent with its age. There was evidence of historic woodworm in thin foot pads beneath the wardrobe. These have been removed and the affected areas treated. The wardrobe remains standing securely.

A handwritten date of 15 April 1957 appears on the back, adding an interesting detail to its history.

    We offer FREE delivery to England, Wales and most parts of Scotland (excluding The Highlands), If delivery is required to Northern Scotland, please contact us prior to purchase.

    We do not currently offer delivery outside of mainland UK, or to the Scottish Highlands.

    We do not currently offer international shipping, but will work with existing freight distributors.

    Collection is available from our warehouse - LL14 1TG. Please select collection at checkout.

    Delivery Information

    You will receive advance notice of a day and time for delivery within approximately 10 working days, and delivery can take up to 15 working days from order date.
