Vintage Oak Bureau with Carved Base

All drawers run smoothly and feature matching handles, likely later replacements, which blend well with the bureau's aesthetic. The lower section is particularly eye-catching, resting on elegantly carved column legs connected by a stretchered base—both decorative and grounding.
The drop-leaf writing surface opens and closes with ease. It has one functioning support arm; the second is missing its mechanism, though this does not affect the usability or stability of the leaf.
Inside, the bureau reveals a classic arrangement of multiple pigeonholes and a central drawer, ideal for stationery, documents, or treasured keepsakes. A few age-related marks are visible inside, consistent with its vintage nature. One small area of chipped veneer on the top right corner of the leaf has darkened over time, blending into the overall look without distraction.
