Vintage Oak Bedroom Chest of Three Drawers
 
 
A characterful vintage oak three drawer chest, with a rich dark finish, decorative detailing and turned front legs set on castors.
 
 
The chest features three good-sized drawers with decorative handles. The handles largely match, although one of the ring handles is slightly different. Attractive carved and moulded detailing to the drawer fronts and upper edge gives the piece plenty of period character.
 
 
Overall the sides are in reasonable condition for its age. The top has discolouration and age-related marking, as shown in the photographs, and there are indications that the chest may originally have had a mirror fitted.
 
 
There is evidence of historic woodworm, which is inactive and has been treated as a precaution.
 
 
A section of the wooden decorative detail on the bottom drawer is missing. There are further marks, knocks and general wear throughout consistent with age and use.
 
 
A great character piece that could be used just as it is, or would make an excellent refurbishment/upcycling project if a cleaner finish were preferred.
