A well-proportioned and characterful vintage oak bureau, offering both practical storage and classic period charm. Crafted in solid oak, this piece displays a rich, warm colour throughout, with attractive grain visible across the fall front, drawer fronts, and sides.
 
The sloping writing leaf opens smoothly and is fitted with its original working key. When opened, it reveals a tooled leather writing surface in a light brown tone. The leather shows some small scuffs and light wear, entirely consistent with age and use, but remains perfectly serviceable and presents well overall.
 
The interior is thoughtfully arranged, featuring two small drawers, a central cupboard door adorned with a charming small metal horseshoe detail, and several open compartments ideal for stationery, letters, or everyday desk items. This layout offers excellent usability while retaining its traditional bureau character.
 
Below the writing section are three full-width drawers, all of which run smoothly and are fitted with matching oak handles. The drawers are clean inside and provide generous storage, making the piece both decorative and highly functional.
 
The sides are in good order, with only minor chips to the wood near the back — nothing significant or visually intrusive. The top and fall front are both in good condition, showing only light surface marks and gentle wear expected of a piece of this age. These subtle signs of use add authenticity and character without detracting from the overall appearance.
