The piece is constructed as one solid unit, with only the removable pelmet allowing for easier transport — a testament to its sturdy Victorian craftsmanship.
Naturally, the wardrobe displays honest signs of age and use, including minor cosmetic repairs to the right-hand door and historic, treated worm to the pelmet (no longer active). These elements only enhance its authenticity and speak to a long and well-lived history.
