Victorian Mahogany Haberdashery Sideboard
Victorian Mahogany Haberdashery Sideboard
A wonderfully characterful Victorian mahogany kitchen sideboard or work station, offering generous storage and an authentic timeworn appearance. This substantial piece has clearly enjoyed a hardworking life, with a beautifully worn top, rich mahogany colouring and plenty of rustic charm that would suit a farmhouse kitchen, country home, pantry, café or retail display.
The layout comprises four graduating drawers to the left, all fitted with attractive oversized brass cup handles, alongside two cupboard doors opening to spacious shelved storage. The cupboard doors retain their original swivel catches, which remain functional although a little stiff with age.
Constructed from solid mahogany, this is an exceptionally heavy and well-built Victorian piece that has developed the patina only genuine antique furniture can acquire.
