Victorian Mahogany Chest of Five Drawers on Bun Feet
 
 
A beautiful Victorian mahogany chest of drawers, featuring wonderfully figured drawer fronts, attractive mother-of-pearl detailed handles and traditional turned bun feet.
 
 
The chest has two smaller drawers above three full-width drawers, providing plenty of practical storage. The mahogany has a lovely rich, warm colour, with particularly attractive grain patterns across the front.
 
 
The top is generally in good condition, with a small indentation towards the back left corner and a tiny area of veneer chipping along the front edge.
 
 
The sides show some age-related cracking but remain solid. All five drawers open and close well. The bottom right drawer handle has a small section missing from its base.
 
 
All four bun feet are sound, although the front right foot shows evidence of historic woodworm, which has been treated.
 
 
Overall, a lovely, solid Victorian chest of drawers with plenty of character and the expected signs of age.
