The front displays a particularly pleasing flame mahogany grain, giving the piece strong visual appeal and warmth. The top shows general age-related marks, nothing significant or distracting, and remains solid and usable. The left side has an area of discolouration towards the lower section, while the right side presents well.
There is minor historic damage to two drawer knobs, with small break-away sections to their bases; both remain intact and functional. Additionally, a small sliver of wood trim is missing from the frame just below the bottom right drawer—this does not affect the use or operation of the drawer and is purely cosmetic.
