Set Of Six Edwardian Mahogany Dining Chairs
Set of Six Edwardian Mahogany Dining Chairs
A handsome set of six Edwardian mahogany dining chairs, offering an elegant period look with attractive warm-toned timber and traditional detailing.
Each chair features a shaped architectural top rail, open ladder-style back and finely turned front legs. The seats are upholstered in a warm tan/mustard material with traditional studded edging, which contrasts beautifully with the darker mahogany frames.
All six chairs are solid and sturdy and remain perfectly usable. There are some age-related marks and wear consistent with their period. Two of the upholstered seats have small tears, and one lower leg has a small area of loss/damage, possibly historic chewing, although this does not affect the chair’s stability.
Despite these minor issues, this is a lovely and characterful set that presents very well and would work beautifully around an antique, rustic or contemporary dining table.
Condition: Good antique condition overall. Solid and sturdy, with age-related wear as described and pictured.
Dimensions:
46cm wide x 43cm deep x 88cm high to back and 43cm high to seat
