A handsome late Victorian triple wardrobe in rich, well-figured mahogany, dating from the late 19th century.
Design:
The wardrobe features an attractive arched and dentil-moulded cornice, with three doors — the central door fitted with a full-length mirror.
Interiors:
• Left-hand compartment: four adjustable shelves over three drawers with brass recessed handles.
• Right-hand compartment: full hanging space with brass hooks and hanging rail, plus a top shelf.
• Construction: Solid mahogany throughout with panelled sides, bracket feet, and original brass fittings.
Condition: Very good antique condition with a fine polish, showing minor age- related wear consistent with use. The shelf to the wardrobe has been replaced at some point with a more contemporary piece of wood.
This is a fine and practical example of late Victorian cabinet-making, offering both elegance and useful storage.
