A wonderfully characterful antique oak coffer, rich in age, history, and rustic appeal. Featuring traditional fielded panel decoration to the front and sides, this handsome chest is further enhanced by the carved initials “MH” to the central panel, adding a sense of provenance and individuality.
 
 Crafted in solid oak, the coffer offers generous internal storage and would make an excellent blanket box, toy chest, hallway bench, or statement piece in a period or country-style interior.
 
 The hinged lid opens smoothly to reveal a spacious interior, ideal for linens, shoes, logs, or general household storage. Its deep colour, timeworn surface, and honest wear make this a particularly attractive decorative piece with genuine antique charm.
 
 Condition: Solid and sturdy overall. There is evidence of historic woodworm (old and inactive - which has been treated for peace of mind), together with age-related wear, marks, and surface character to the top and throughout, all entirely in keeping with its age and rustic nature.     All our furniture is either antique or second hand, and therefore there may be cosmetic age related surface marks, and or scratches and fading, where identified in the item description.

    We kindly request that you review all photographs as these images form an essential part of the item’s description and condition, offering an important visual insight into its appearance and overall quality.

    If furniture shows signs of historic worm, we will check that this is inactive and treat accordingly to give both you and us peace of mind. Any signs of historic worm will be described in the description.

    Delivery Information

    We offer FREE delivery to England, Wales and most parts of Scotland (excluding The Highlands), If delivery is required to Northern Scotland, please contact us prior to purchase.

    We do not currently offer delivery outside of mainland UK, or to the Scottish Highlands.

    We do not currently offer international shipping, but will work with existing freight distributors.

    Collection is available from our warehouse - LL14 1TG. Please select collection at checkout.

    Delivery Information

    You will receive advance notice of a day and time for delivery within approximately 10 working days, and delivery can take up to 15 working days from order date.

    In case of return, items must be received back in the same condition as delivered, and you are responsible for cost of return. Should you wish for us to arrange collection, please get in touch.
