An impressive Georgian-style throne armchair of substantial proportions, reputedly originating from Ruthin Courthouse. Crafted in a rich dark timber (believed to be mahogany, although oak is possible), this striking chair features a commanding high back, carved geometric detailing and generously upholstered seat, back and arm pads in a smart navy blue fabric.
Its bold architectural form and solid construction make it an ideal statement piece for a hallway, study, library or period interior.

* Very solid, sturdy and heavy construction
* Upholstery is in good overall condition
* Attractive carved detailing to the arms and lower legs
* Minor slither of wood missing from the base of the front right leg
* Small section of wood missing to the rear left leg (please refer to photographs)
