Edwardian Satinwood Three Drawer Chest
Edwardian Satinwood Three Drawer Chest
A charming Edwardian satinwood dressing chest, (originally a dressing table) offering a lovely warm golden colour and plenty of character. Its simple proportions make it a versatile piece that could work equally well as a dressing chest, bedroom drawers or an attractive side table.
The chest features three generously sized drawers, each fitted with matching decorative handles, raised on elegant tapered legs with small castors.
The satinwood has a particularly attractive colour and grain throughout. The sides are in good overall condition and the piece remains solid and usable.
There are some discolouration and age-related marks to the top, along with small holes towards the rear where a mirror was previously fitted. There is also evidence of historic woodworm, which is inactive and has been treated as a precaution. General surface marks and signs of use are present throughout, all consistent with the age and history of the piece.
Please note that this is an antique piece and therefore displays age-related wear, marks and imperfections consistent with its history and use.
