Edwardian Red Walnut Sideboard
 
 
A handsome and substantial Edwardian red walnut sideboard of impressive scale, offering generous storage and striking period presence. Crafted in richly figured walnut with warm colour throughout, this is a particularly attractive example enhanced by beautifully carved cupboard door panels and original brass fittings.
 
 
The configuration comprises two central drawers above a pair of cupboard doors, flanked at either side by a further drawer over cupboard compartments, providing extensive and practical storage. Each cupboard is fitted with a single internal shelf.
 
 
The sideboard retains its original brass handles and escutcheons, complementing the quality of the timber and decorative detailing. Two of the cupboard locks have been removed historically. The remaining cupboard lock does not currently have a key, though replacements can be readily sourced online if desired.
 
 
Condition is good antique order with marks, bumps, chips, and general wear consistent with age and use. There are signs of minimal historic woodworm, now inactive and treated as a precaution. Please refer to photographs for overall condition.
 
 
A very solid, heavy, and impressive sideboard, ideal for dining room, hallway, or living room use.
