Edwardian Mahogany Bow Front Display Cabinet
Edwardian Mahogany Bow Front Display Cabinet
A large and impressive Edwardian mahogany display cabinet of exceptional quality and presence. Substantial in both size and weight, this handsome cabinet has the look and feel of a high-end maker such as Waring & Gillow, although no maker’s mark is present. Crafted in solid mahogany, it is a particularly fine and heavy example.
The cabinet features a graceful bow-fronted glazed upper section with two lockable doors, complete with a working key and functioning locks. All glass panels are in good order. Internally are three shelves, lined in an attractive green champagne-toned fabric, ideal for displaying china, silver, books, or collectibles.
Decorative carved detailing runs across the front and sides, with an especially attractive carved central feature between the doors. Below is a useful lower tier shelf, adding both elegance and practicality.
The removable gallery back top section completes the silhouette and can be detached for transport. It has one or two minor dents, nothing significant.
Presented in good antique condition with expected light age-related wear. A superb statement piece, ideal for dining room, drawing room, hallway, or retail display.
