A handsome Edwardian mahogany bureau, featuring attractive inlaid detailing and a contrasting darker frame.
 
 
The fall-front opens to provide a good-sized writing surface, with a fitted interior comprising seven open compartments and two small drawers, making it both decorative and practical.
 
 
Below are three full-width drawers, all fitted with traditional brass handles.
 
 
The bureau is in good, solid vintage condition overall with age-related wear. There are some small blemishes to the top, slight areas of discolouration to the sides and general scratches/marks to the darker frame.
 
 
The lock operates with the key; however, it currently does not catch correctly and would require a small lip/adjustment internally. Because of this, the fall-front does not sit completely flush when closed, as shown in the photographs.
 
 
A lovely characterful piece that would work particularly well as a writing desk, home-office bureau or statement storage piece.
