Edwardian Flame Mahogany Inlaid Freestanding Corner Cabinet
Edwardian Flame Mahogany Inlaid Freestanding Corner Cabinet
A lovely quality Edwardian-style mahogany corner cabinet, featuring a beautifully figured flame mahogany front door with attractive contrasting inlaid borders.
The cabinet has a traditional design, with a moulded top, angled sides and elegant square tapered legs. The rich mahogany colouring and striking flame figuring to the door make this a particularly attractive piece of furniture.
Designed to fit neatly into the corner of a room, the cabinet offers generous storage without taking up unnecessary floor space.
The single cupboard door opens to reveal a spacious interior fitted with three adjustable shelves, providing versatile storage for books, glassware, crockery or other household items.
The door retains its working lock and key, and bears a small retailer’s label for Ashton Leach & Cumberbirch Ltd, Rochdale.
A handsome and practical piece of traditional furniture, ideal for a dining room, sitting room, hallway or study.
Condition: Good overall antique condition, with minimal age-related wear to the sides and front door. There is a shallow groove or blemish to the top surface, which blends into the mahogany figuring and is difficult to capture in photographs.
The door opens and closes correctly, and the original-style lock and key are both in working order.
A solid, attractive and functional cabinet, ready for use.
