An impressive Early Georgian solid oak press cupboard, dating from the 18th century and offering exceptional storage alongside wonderful period character. Constructed in two sections for transportation, this substantial piece features a large double-door cupboard over a bank of five drawers, all retaining an attractive rich oak patina developed over centuries of use.
 
 
The upper section opens to reveal a highly practical interior with an impressive twenty-one original wooden hooks fitted to the back, sides and inside of the doors, along with three metal hooks to the roof, making it ideal for coats, linens or household storage. There is also provision for a removable shelf should the new owner wish to add one. The lower section houses five generously sized drawers fitted with brass swan-neck handles, providing ample additional storage.
 
 
This is an exceptionally heavy, well-built piece which separates into two sections for transport. As expected with furniture of this age, there is evidence of historic woodworm which has long since been professionally treated and is completely inactive.
