Dutch Mahogany 19th Century Bombe Display Cabinet
Dutch mahogany 19th-century bombe display cabinet - the arched top centred by a carved mount above a pair of pane panel glazed doors, enclosing two shelves, above a bombe base, fitted with four graduated drawers, shaped apron and resting on well carved claw and ball feet.
What a beautiful piece!! Very elegant and opulent!
The display section has a dark upholstery to the back and the shelves - there is some fading probably caused by sunlight to the material.
The graduated drawers are furnished with decorative metal handles and afford good storage. Each of the drawers has a lock although the second drawer lock has been removed. The cabinet comes complete with the lock and key - but that would be up to you if you wish to use the locks etc as they are a bit stiff.
This display cabinet comes in interlocking pieces and when built is very sturdy and solid! The Dutch and the French are experts at constructing wonderful furniture like this!
There may be some superficial cosmetic marks here and there as is consistent with a piece of this age - but there is nothing major to note!
If you’re looking for a display cabinet that will be a room changer - then this may be for you!!
