Art Deco Style Oak Leaded Glass Bookcase
Art Deco Style Oak Leaded Glass Bookcase / Display Cabinet
A very attractive Art Deco style oak bookcase / display cabinet, featuring a distinctive curved top and a pair of tall leaded glass doors.
The two large glazed doors feature decorative leaded detailing with textured/cut glass centres, giving the cabinet plenty of character without being overly ornate. The doors open to reveal four adjustable wooden shelves, supported by a series of small shelf rests running up either side, allowing the internal layout to be altered as required.
Standing on bracket-style feet and measuring just over 92cm wide, it is a particularly useful size for displaying books, glassware, China or decorative collections without taking up too much floor space.
The oak frame is generally in good condition with only minimal signs of previous use to the sides and top. There is a small amount of bubbling to the veneer towards the upper section, but nothing particularly significant. The glass is quite thin, as is often found on cabinets of this style and period, so care should be taken when handling the doors.
The doors retain their two handles but there is no key.
Condition: Good overall vintage condition with general age-related wear. Minor veneer bubbling to the upper section. Glass intact at the time of listing. Please see photographs, which form part of the item description.
