Antique Spicer of Pontesbury oak dresser with cross banded mahogany
Antique Spicer of Pontesbury Oak Dresser with Cross-Banded Mahogany
An impressive early 20th century oak dresser by the respected makers Spicer of Pontesbury, showcasing superb craftsmanship, generous proportions, and rich colour throughout.
Crafted in solid oak with striking cross-banded mahogany detailing, this handsome piece combines practicality with elegant decorative touches. The warm oak tones contrast beautifully with the darker mahogany banding, giving the dresser real presence and refinement.
The base section features three large dovetailed drawers, all fitted with matching brass handles and offering excellent storage. Beneath the drawers is a shaped and decoratively carved apron, echoed in the carved detailing to the upper section.
Above, the dresser back includes open shelving to the centre, flanked by two side cupboards, each with an internal shelf. The cupboard doors are finished with attractive carved shell motifs, adding further charm and individuality.
A substantial and versatile piece, ideal for use in a kitchen, dining room, farmhouse interior, or country home.
