Antique Oak Chair
Antique Oak Hall Chair (Likely 19th Century)
A substantial and characterful antique oak hall chair, likely dating to the 19th century, with a rich patina and wonderful age-worn character. This is a chunky, solid piece with a carved decorative backrest, including a distinctive ‘GD’ engraving, adding to its charm and individuality.
The chair features a red/pink upholstered seat pad with a noticeable blemish to the right-hand side. The arm supports show natural wear, with a softened, sloped profile created over many years of use.
Structurally the chair remains solid, with the expected signs of age and use throughout. There is evidence of historic woodworm, and some trim is missing to the front, but overall it presents as a strong, usable piece with great decorative appeal.
