Antique Nursing Chair Having Button Back Upholstery
 
A beautifully proportioned antique nursing chair, upholstered in a rich and vibrant red fabric that presents exceptionally well. The upholstery remains in very good condition overall, retaining strong colour, with only light fading to the very front edge, consistent with age and gentle use (as photographed).
 
The chair is supported by a solid mahogany frame with elegant turned legs and shaped arms. The wood shows a few minor surface marks and light scratches, entirely in keeping with an authentic antique piece and adding to its character.
 
The chair sits on four original castors, all of which move freely, making it easy to reposition despite its solid construction.
 
Comfortable, supportive, and full of period charm, this piece works equally well as a statement occasional chair, bedroom chair, or reading chair.
 
Condition:
Overall, the chair presents very well. The red upholstery remains vibrant and in good condition, with only slight fading to the front edge as shown. The mahogany frame has a few small marks and light surface wear, along with some minor marks here and there, all entirely consistent with age and normal use. All four castors run smoothly.
