Antique Heavily Carved Oak Corner Cabinet
 
 
A striking and highly decorative antique oak corner cabinet, featuring an abundance of intricate carved detail and wonderful period character throughout.
 
 
The upper section features a single panelled door with an impressive deeply carved design incorporating floral, foliate and scrolling motifs. Further carved decoration continues around the frame, giving the cabinet a particularly ornate and distinctive appearance.
 
 
The upper cupboard opens to reveal three fixed internal shelves, providing useful storage or display space. Below is an attractive open section with turned supports and further carved detailing, leading down to a shaped lower shelf and turned legs.
 
 
For ease of movement and transportation, the cabinet separates into two sections, with the join approximately 94cm from the floor.
 
 
Condition:
Solid and sturdy overall, with plenty of attractive age-related patina. There are various marks, knocks, small chips and signs of previous use consistent with its age. There is a small loss to part of the carved floral decoration.
 
 
There are signs of historic woodworm, which is inactive and has been treated as a precaution.
 
 
Unfortunately, the cabinet does not come with a key. Please see photographs for further details of condition.
