Antique French Louis XV Style Mirrored Armoire / Wardrobe
 
A large and impressive French Louis XV style wardrobe featuring beautifully shaped lines, ornate gilt metal mounts and two large bevel-edged mirrored doors. This elegant piece has wonderful presence and would make a striking addition to a bedroom, dressing room or boutique interior.
 
The wardrobe is decorated with decorative gilt metal appliqués, including classical figures and cherub detailing across the top frieze and corners, giving the piece a rich and decorative character typical of Louis XV inspired furniture.
 
The two tall mirrored doors open smoothly and are fitted with a working key. Inside, the wardrobe offers versatile storage with a lower two-drawer section, a central shelf with two short hanging rails, and a further pair of hanging rails in the upper section. The internal shelf and drawer unit are removable, allowing the layout to be adapted depending on storage needs.
 
The wardrobe is designed as a knock-down piece, meaning it can be dismantled for easier transport and reassembled in place.
 
The cabinet is likely walnut or mahogany and stands on turned legs with brass caps. As expected with age, there is some wear to the base veneer along the front and sides, though it has darkened with time and does not detract from the overall look. The sides are in good condition, with two small holes on the left side from previous screws.

Condition
Good antique condition overall with age-related wear. Some veneer loss along the base front and sides and minor marks consistent with age. Two small holes on the left side from previous screws. Mirrors in good condition and doors open and close well.
