1920’s Continental Oak Bureau
1920’s Continental Oak Bureau
This charming 1920’s Continental oak bureau is a versatile piece full of character and patina. The fall-front opens to reveal a fitted interior with two small drawers over a long drawer, perfect for storing stationery or keepsakes. The central small drawer is a false front, typical of the period design.
The exterior is fitted with ornate metal handles, adding a decorative flourish, while the warm oak grain shows cosmetic marks and chips consistent with age. These darkened highlights tell the story of its life and give the bureau a unique presence.
Complete with its original keys, this bureau is not only practical but also a stylish addition that will fit seamlessly into any décor — from traditional to contemporary. Ideal for use as a writing desk, hallway feature, or compact work station. The fall front has quirky metal arms and the leaf slightly leans in a downwards position as seen of the photographs.
Condition: Good antique condition with age-related marks, chips, and a rich patina. There are ink stains to the interior as seen in the photographs.
Dimensions: 75cm wide x 38cm deep x 90cm high and 62cm to drop leaf
