Mahogany Bureau - Early 19th Century
This early 19th-century mahogany bureau features a fall front with a fitted interior, offering ample storage space. Below, you'll find two short and three long graduated drawers, all adorned with elegant swan neck brass handles. The bureau rests on later-added castors, which can easily be removed if preferred.
The bureau boasts a beautiful patina that only comes with years of use and care. It is incredibly solid, sturdy, and heavy, providing both excellent storage and a perfect workstation for the home. While it does show some age-related marks and a small piece of trim missing from the lower front, and small chips to one of the drawers, these imperfections only add to its character.
Additionally, there are signs of historic worm, though it is inactive and has been professionally treated.
Built to last for generations, this bureau is a timeless piece that will stand the test of time.
