Late Victorian / early Edwardian Dressing Chest
Late Victorian / early Edwardian large mahogany dressing chest, having a large rectangular bevel edged mirror over two short and three long drawers, furnished with decorative metal handles.
This is a big, heavy and solid piece of furniture accommodating a great amount of storage! The dressing chest is designed to have a gradual slope backwards. It is very sturdy!
It does have some superficial scratches and marks and there is a piece of wood missing to the right rear side of the chest - which does not affect its stability.
There is also evidence of historic worm - but it is inactive and has been treated! See all photographs.
Despite its few issues - it’s bomb proof and will be here for many years to come!
Dimensions 122cm wide x 60.5cm deep x 160cm high to mirror back and 92cm to dressing table top.
