£200.00Price

Antique oak secretaire having country estate pigeon holes and writing slope with burgundy faux leather insert and resting on turned legs.

The two central legs pull out so that the pull-down section can rest on them.

This is a beautiful and slender piece of furniture - very useful with great storage! It’s a great design which has a minimalist aesthetic look, whilst affording a good amount of organisational storage for modern living. We think this piece is probably Late Victorian / early Edwardian.

It does have a few issues - there is a crack to the very top of the secretaire which is stable, some minor scuffs; a few small ink marks and some missing veneer internally and finally some very minor historic worm which is inactive and has been treated. Despite its issues - it really is a great piece of furniture that will be here for generations to come.

It has a great patina that only comes with use and age. The overall condition is good - and the minor aesthetic issues give it that quirky look!

Dimensions 118cm wide x 32cm deep x 138.5cm high. Dimensions of slope when open - 90cm deep x 72.5cm high
